Alpha

alpha_logo_2002Once a year we run a course introducing Christianity, called Alpha (see national site).

Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting, over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, with a day away.

Everyone is welcome on an Alpha course. People have all kinds of reasons for wanting to explore Christianity in a little more depth. Some want more information, in order to decide whether God exists. Some people are looking for purpose in life. Others are concerned about what happens after death. Still others may have attended church on and off for all their lives, but feel that they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith.

People come from many different backgrounds – ethnic, religious, social, sexual. Whoever you are, you will find a welcome from us!

Attending an Alpha course does not commit you to anything else, and you are free to leave the course half way through if you wish!

2010 programme
There is no programme currently running.

The last  introductory session was at Ask’s restaurant in Lewes on Tuesday 29th September at 7.30pm. The remaining sessions then followed on Tuesday evenings at a private home on the edge of Lewes. Dinner was provided each week with plenty of opportunity to discuss the issues raised in the course.

The course is entirely free.

If you have further questions that we haven’t answered here, please contact the church.
